Tianjin HeTong Foundation for the Elderly

  Tianjin Hetong Public Welfare Foundation for the Elderly was established in March 2007 and registered with the Tianjin Civil Affairs Bureau in accordance with the law. With a registered capital of 2 million yuan, it was jointly founded by Mr. Hou Lizun, a famous entrepreneur and philanthropist, and Hetong Elderly Welfare Association, each with a capital of 1 million yuan.

  The vision of the Hetong Foundation is to pursue a better society where the elderly can take care of their elderly, treat their illnesses, maintain quality, and enjoy a dignified old age; A beautiful society that can truly attach importance to the status of the elderly, safeguard the rights and interests of the elderly, live in harmony between generations, and achieve sustainable development.

  The Hetong Foundation receives various forms of donations from all walks of life to specifically fund the social welfare of the elderly and the development of social welfare undertakings. Now it has built a platform for entrepreneurs, philanthropists and even ordinary citizens to dedicate love to the elderly, especially the poor elderly.

  Hetong has a complete set of operating system for accepting social donations and transparent financial disclosure. In the "China-based Transparency Index FTI" ranking of the Foundation Center Network, Hetong ranked first (tie) among national foundations with a full score of 100 points for transparency. In 2008 and 2011, he won the China Charity Award, the highest charity award of the Chinese government issued by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. In 2012, it was rated as a 4A foundation in the foundation rating review.
